No, sorry. Entry is limited to England and Wales only. The two countries in which the NFU has members.
Not this year, we might look at this in the future but for now it’s for primary school aged children only.
It’s up to you! This will vary based on the age group and the enthusiasm of the learners. We’ve designed the competition to be flexible. The ASE resources all have suggested timings to help you plan. If you are a winner we’ll work with you to plan when you can take up your farm visit.
During our pilot project for the competition children completed the tasks in different ways. The projects can all work as whole class lessons (see the individual resources for curriculum links), as part of an extra-curricular STEM club or as part of a home learning project.
We’re working to link farmers with schools. If this is something you’d be interested in please tick the relevant box on the signup form. We can’t guarantee a match but we’ll try our best!
Entries close on 23 December 2019
Applications will be shortlisted by a panel of judges from the NFU and ASE. The overall winner will be decided at the grand final event in London by a panel of industry experts.
